Metro Detroit Bigs and Littles were invited as special guests to this year's Winterblast. Matches were allowed to start the fun an hour before the general public and each person received free lunch and a zipline ride! This was a blast for for everyone who attended and is why we are naming Meridian and John Witz and Associates as our February partners of the month! About Meridian Meridian Health Plan is a physician-owned, physician-operated health plan with extensive experience in its subsidiary operations in Michigan, Illinois, Iowa and New Hampshire. Meridian's affiliates include Medicaid and Medicare health and prescription drug plans, a commercial plan available through the Health Insurance Marketplace and MeridianRx, a Pharmacy Benefit Management company. His festivals have also been community minded, with free admission in each, and combined donations of more than $2.2 million to local non-profits. Among the events Witz & Associates have produced: Motown Winter Blast, the official celebration of Super Bowl XL, Arts, Beats & Eats (which Witz co-founded in 1998 with Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson), WYCD’s Downtown Hoedown, Detroit River Days, the NCAA Big Dance in Detroit (2009), the Port Huron Blue Water Fest, Pontiac Hot Wheels Cool Nights, and Jambalaya.
